Volunteers at the GSV

Whilst the Society employs a small number of paid staff a great deal of the work and services offered are undertaken by volunteers.

Anyone with an interest in family history and time available is welcome to contact us. Please be aware that most roles require membership of the GSV.

It's up to you to decide how much time you want to commit, but we generally ask our volunteers to commit to a regular roster. We also ask that we be notified when volunteers are unable to attend their rostered time.

New Library Research Assistants are always welcome.  If you are familiar with using our library resources, especially the catalogue of our holdings, please contact Linley Hooper if you can offer some time to help other members.  Our ideal would be a half day on a weekly basis, but we are open to all offers.
