Y DNA a separate DNA test that traces the paternal line. Only males can take the Y DNA test to identify ancient origin of the paternal line. Testing brothers, uncles and male cousins can also be used to trace any male line in a family tree. This presentation provides information about the test, haplogroups, how to interpret results and use it to solve family history questions on paternal lines.
