British India Discussion Circle

Cherilyn Tillman has agreed to share a story from her DNA results with us at the November meeting.  And to tell us about “The Covenant of Water’ which she has just finished reading and says is excellent.  It is by Abraham Verghese and is ‘a sweeping novel following three generations of a family in Southern India, spanning the years 1900 to 1977’.

Aim: To understand and gain further knowledge of our ancestors' connections to, and lives in, British India, including those who worked within the Home Establishment.

Meetings will discuss the records available at the GSV and other organisations in Australia, websites with relevant sources including The British Library, FamilySearch, Findmypast, FIBIS and TNA.
