Family History Month: South West England Research Day

If you have ancestors from Bristol or the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset or Wiltshire, this is a Library Research Day for you! As part of Family History Month we will have experts from our South West England Research & Discussion Circle (SWERD) on hand to assist you. This is a great opportunity to meet with other GSV members who share your research interests.

Each session begins with an introductory talk on researching your South West England ancestors including what is available in our collection. Participants will then have time to explore at their own pace, with our experienced research volunteers and staff on hand to assist.

Once you have registered, to help our volunteers provide the most relevant guidance, please submit an outline of your query to gsv@gsv.org.au. This allows us to identify helpful resources in the GSV collection prior to your arrival.
Each session is limited to 6 participants to ensure everyone receives dedicated support.
