All of my great-grandparents were born in Australia. The focus of my research is myth-busting the stories of elderly relatives. Surprisingly, many were telling the truth! I’ve written many of these discoveries up on my blog and with the GSV Writers Circle.
A GSV member for about 13 years, I joined GSV Council in October 2022. My current activities include Council liaison with the Ancestor team, member of the Digital Media and Education teams, blog writing, monitoring member support emails, and co-convenor of the VicTas discussion circle. I attend as many events as time and life allow.
I worked for 18 years in the medical/technical space, and 15 years as a freelance proof reader. I’ve volunteered with community groups in many roles over about 20 years. My hobbies other than genealogy are photography, golf, hiking and travel.
