Two of our non-geographically based discussion circles are meeting in the next seven days: The Good Oil on Friday at 1:30pm and Family History Tips and Tools on Wednesday at 10:30am.
This week The Good Oil attendees will continue their discussion about using Artificial Intelligence (AI) apps to support family history research. Michael Considine will talk about his research into creating images from text using AI apps. There will be opportunity for participants to talk about this particular aspect of AI or any other discoveries or applications you may have found or used.
Another focus of the meeting is discussing their program for 2024. If you have questions about anything to do with the tools you use to record and organise your family tree research or genealogical methodology, join in to have your say on the agenda for next year.
Next Wednesday, Family History Tips and Tools will be presented by Meg Bate. She will share her tips on using web- based genealogical resources. The focus will be on easily overlooked resources, including Google Books and Google News, and getting the most out of your searching. There will be plenty of time to answer your questions and tackle the issues you are encountering with internet based research.
