Meg Bate explains why land records deserve a place in every genealogist's toolbox. Margaret Fleming OAM takes us on a journey through Victoria's rich collection of squatter and selection records, along with the mapping tools available through the Public Record Office Victoria (PROV). To finish, Meg takes us beyond Victoria, introducing resources for researching land records across Australia. She will explain changes in boundaries and terminology, and highlight guides that can help you continue your research, wherever your ancestors settled.
