Welcome to the GSV Blog

Welcome to Family History Matters, the blog of the Genealogical Society of Victoria (GSV). Here you'll find news and reports on GSV activities, along with articles of interest about family history and genealogy. We hope it inspires you to find and tell your own family stories!

  • Submissions should be original work, and the author must have obtained all necessary permissions and copyright approvals.
  • The views expressed in posts are those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of the GSV.

Generally, the GSV's Style Guide for its journal Ancestor applies (see Guidelines for Authors on our website), though our blog aims for a briefer, more relaxed style.
